Privacy at a glance: Dotlane collects the information needed to operate verified accounts, track orders, register domains, process DNS requests, prevent abuse, and provide support. Whop processes checkout details, and Dotlane does not store full payment-card numbers.
01

Scope and responsibility

This Privacy Policy applies to Dotlane’s website, customer accounts, domain orders, DNS-change requests, reviews, support communications, and related services. “Dotlane,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of dotdomainlane.com.

Third-party services have their own privacy practices. This policy explains Dotlane’s processing and identifies important providers where appropriate.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, and maintain signed-in sessions;
  • search domains, create orders, reconcile payments, register domains, and display status;
  • receive, review, process, and audit DNS-change requests;
  • send verification codes, transactional messages, security notices, and support replies;
  • detect bots, credential abuse, fraud, payment abuse, attacks, and policy violations;
  • maintain records, troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations;
  • publish a review only after moderation and according to the choices presented to you.

Depending on the context and applicable law, processing may be necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with law, protect legitimate security and operational interests, or act with your consent.

04

Payments through Whop

Checkout is provided by Whop. Whop collects and processes payment credentials, billing details, fraud signals, and transaction information under its own Privacy Policy. Dotlane receives identifiers and payment results needed to verify and fulfill your order.

We use signed webhooks and direct server reconciliation to confirm payments. A browser redirect alone does not mark an order as paid.

05

Cloudflare Turnstile and security

Dotlane uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse during sensitive actions such as account registration. Turnstile may process security signals including IP address, user-agent information, TLS/browser characteristics, site key, and origin.

Cloudflare explains this processing in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Turnstile is used for security, not advertising.

06

How information is shared

We may share the minimum necessary information with:

  • Whop, to create checkout sessions and verify payment;
  • registries and registrars, to check availability and provide domain services;
  • Cloudflare, for anti-bot and security services;
  • hosting, database, email, monitoring, and infrastructure providers, to operate Dotlane;
  • professional advisers and authorities, where reasonably necessary to establish rights, investigate abuse, comply with law, or protect users and the public;
  • a successor organization, if Dotlane is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Dotlane does not sell personal information for money or use customer order data for third-party behavioral advertising.

07

International processing

Some providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual, organizational, or other recognized safeguards for international transfers. Provider locations and legal requirements may change over time.

08

Security

We use measures designed to protect information, including password hashing, encrypted transport, secure cookies, email verification, CSRF and origin controls, rate limits, anti-bot checks, access controls, signed payment webhooks, audit records, and restricted administrative functions.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and contact us immediately if you suspect account compromise.

09

Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing active domain services, keeping transaction and audit records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting tax, accounting, registry, or legal obligations.

Retention periods vary by record type. Account information may be removed or de-identified after a valid deletion request unless continued retention is required or permitted by law. Backups and fraud-prevention records may persist for a limited additional period.

10

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, object to or restrict certain processing, or raise a grievance.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information cannot be deleted immediately where it is needed to fulfill an active domain service, protect security, maintain financial records, or comply with law.

Submitting a requestEmail support@dotdomainlane.com from your account email and describe your request. Never include your password or complete payment-card details.
11

Children

Dotlane is not directed to children who cannot legally enter a contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child in violation of applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child provided information improperly.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, security practices, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice where required.

13

Contact and grievances

For privacy questions, rights requests, or grievances, email support@dotdomainlane.com. Include enough information to identify your account and request, but do not send passwords, verification codes, or full card data.
