Overview
This Refund Policy applies to domain-related purchases made through dotdomainlane.com. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Payments are processed through Whop. Refund eligibility is determined by the order and registration status, while the refund itself is normally returned through Whop to the original payment method.
When a refund is available
You may be eligible for a full or appropriate refund when:
- payment succeeded, but Dotlane confirms that the requested domain cannot be registered;
- the same order was charged more than once because of a verified technical error;
- Dotlane cancels the order before registration and does not provide the purchased service;
- a payment was captured for an order that our systems cannot securely correlate or fulfill;
- applicable law requires a refund.
If a domain becomes unavailable between search and final registration, we will not silently replace it with another name. We will contact you or update the order status and handle the payment according to this policy.
When a domain order is non-refundable
Once the requested domain has been successfully registered, the order is generally non-refundable because registry and registrar transactions are committed and the domain has been provisioned for the customer.
Unless required by law, refunds are not provided for:
- changing your mind after registration;
- spelling mistakes or selecting the wrong domain where Dotlane registered exactly what you approved;
- failure to use the domain, website, email, or DNS after registration;
- DNS propagation time, third-party caching, or incorrect DNS values supplied by you;
- suspension or cancellation caused by prohibited activity, false information, or violation of provider rules;
- payment-provider, bank, foreign-exchange, or network fees that Dotlane did not receive and cannot reverse.
Pending and processing orders
An order marked “awaiting payment” has not yet been accepted as paid by Dotlane. An order marked “payment pending” is still being confirmed. An order marked “registering” has passed payment verification and registration work is underway.
Renewals and expiration
A completed renewal is generally non-refundable once the registry extends the domain term. Failure to renew before expiration, redemption charges imposed by a registrar or registry, and loss of a domain after expiry are not refundable unless caused directly by a confirmed Dotlane billing error.
How to request a refund
Email support@dotdomainlane.com from the email connected to your Dotlane account. Include:
- your Dotlane order reference, such as DL-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXX;
- the domain name;
- a short explanation of the issue;
- the Whop payment reference, if available.
Do not send your password, verification code, full card number, or banking credentials. We may ask for reasonable information to verify account ownership and investigate the transaction.
Review and processing time
We aim to acknowledge refund requests promptly and review straightforward cases within five business days. Complex registrar, fraud, or payment investigations may take longer.
Approved refunds are submitted through Whop to the original payment method. Banks and payment networks control the time required for the credit to appear; this commonly takes several business days after submission. Taxes are refunded where supported and required by the transaction and applicable law.
Unauthorized payments and disputes
If you believe a payment is unauthorized, contact us immediately so we can investigate and secure the associated account. You may also have rights through your payment provider or card issuer.
Please give us an opportunity to resolve ordinary service or refund issues before opening a payment dispute. Filing a false or abusive chargeback may result in account restriction and recovery of costs where permitted by law.
Statutory rights and contact
This policy does not limit refund, cancellation, or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. Questions about this policy or a specific order may be sent to support@dotdomainlane.com.
