Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Dotlane (“Dotlane,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) when you access dotdomainlane.com, create an account, place an order, or use our domain and DNS services.
You must be legally able to enter a binding contract. If you use Dotlane for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to you and your use of a domain.
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, verify your email address, protect your password, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. Activity performed through your account is treated as authorized unless you notify us and we determine otherwise.
We may use security controls such as email verification, rate limits, session controls, and Cloudflare Turnstile to protect accounts and the service.
What Dotlane provides
Dotlane provides .com domain search, order coordination, registration fulfillment, account-based status tracking, and DNS-change request management. Domain registration and DNS infrastructure depend on third-party registries, registrars, payment processors, networks, and hosting providers.
Orders, prices, and payment
The price shown on Dotlane is the base price for the stated service period. Taxes, currency conversion, or payment-provider charges may be shown separately at checkout. The final amount displayed before you approve payment controls.
- Payments are processed by Whop; Dotlane does not store full card numbers.
- A browser redirect does not prove payment. We confirm payment through a signed server notification and direct payment reconciliation.
- An order can remain pending while payment or registration is being verified.
- You authorize us to use your order information to fulfill the requested registration.
Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms.
Domain registration and ownership
A domain registration provides a time-limited right to use the domain under the applicable registry and registrar rules; it does not create ownership of words, brands, or intellectual property. You must provide accurate registrant information if requested and keep required information current.
You are responsible for checking that your chosen domain does not violate another party’s trademark, copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Registrations may be suspended, transferred, cancelled, or disputed under applicable law, ICANN policy, registry rules, registrar terms, or a binding decision.
Renewal and expiration
Unless Dotlane explicitly confirms automatic renewal for your order, registration is not automatically renewed. Renewal availability, price, and instructions will be shown or communicated before expiration where practical. You remain responsible for renewing on time.
DNS requests and propagation
Dotlane lets eligible customers submit DNS-change requests. Requests may be reviewed for validity, security, and compatibility before processing. Statuses displayed in your account indicate whether a request is pending, processing, applied, failed, or cancelled.
DNS propagation depends on recursive resolvers, TTL values, caches, and third-party networks. An “applied” status means the requested change was placed in the authoritative configuration; it does not guarantee immediate visibility everywhere. You are responsible for the accuracy and consequences of record values you submit.
Acceptable use
You may not use Dotlane or a domain managed through Dotlane for:
- fraud, phishing, impersonation, malware, spam, credential theft, or deceptive activity;
- illegal content or transactions, exploitation, harassment, or infringement;
- attacks, unauthorized access, interference, scraping that harms the service, or security bypasses;
- false registration information, payment abuse, chargeback fraud, or evasion of sanctions and legal restrictions.
We may restrict or suspend service when reasonably necessary to protect customers, Dotlane, third parties, or the public, or to comply with legal and provider requirements.
Third-party services
Whop, Cloudflare, registrars, registries, email providers, hosting providers, and other vendors may apply their own terms and privacy policies. Dotlane is not responsible for outages or decisions controlled solely by those providers, but we will use reasonable efforts to communicate material order issues and pursue available remedies.
Dotlane intellectual property
The Dotlane site, branding, interface, text, graphics, and software are owned by or licensed to Dotlane and are protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not grant rights to Dotlane’s marks or source code.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, universal DNS propagation times, or continued availability of a domain before registration is completed.
To the extent permitted by law, Dotlane is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss caused by third-party systems. Dotlane’s aggregate liability for a claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid Dotlane for that order during the preceding twelve months.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Suspension, termination, and changes
You may stop using Dotlane at any time, subject to outstanding obligations. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud risk, abusive activity, legal requirements, or threats to the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, or security changes. Material updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of India, without limiting mandatory consumer protections available in your place of residence. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes that cannot be resolved informally.
